about this event

Together, let's use AI tools for the common good. Organized as part of Nantes Digital Week 2026, the IA Hackathon for the common good is a day of collective intelligence proposed by the civic-ia.fr association. It brings together citizens, experts, local authorities, associations and businesses around a single goal: bringing out innovative solutions in service of the common good.

Over a full day, based on concrete challenges proposed by local actors, we offer participants the chance to collaborate to imagine together realistic, useful responses that harness the possibilities offered by artificial intelligence. A day run in cooperation with: Bworlds, Cybercité IsoSkale, and the Generative IA Nantes collective.

How does the day go? Presentation of the challenges by local actors. Formation of teams of 6 to 8 people mixing citizens, business or local experts and AI experts. Collaborative work to analyze the challenge, bring out ideas and design solutions using AI tools. Pitch preparation. Final pitch before a jury made up of partners, institutions and experts. The most promising solutions will be showcased in our communication.

During this day you will be accompanied by mentors: Emmanuel Marboeuf, CEO BWorlds; Samuel Berthe, Open Source Developer; Olivier Dutel, Facilitator and trainer; David Guillonneau, Finance Entrepreneur (ex-Director of Innovation at Capgemini); Frederic Rossi, IT professional. Your projects will be presented to a jury made up of: Emmanuel Marboeuf, CEO BWorlds; Jean-François VERVAECKE, Search marketing, Lab IA Cybercité; Frederique Krupa, Director, Design Lab, EDNA; Pierre Antoine Gourraud, Professor at Nantes Université; Samuel Berthe, Open Source Developer; Walter Bonomo, Co-President Civic IA. General coordination: Walter Bonomo.

Who can participate? Citizens curious to use AIs. No need to be an expert, but a first approach to AI is recommended (prompt). Just come with your laptop. Experts keen to support citizens in building prototypes using standard tools, or vibe coding. Local actors wishing to propose topics of general interest where AI could possibly bring added value. Supporters and sponsors of the project (licence, endowment).

Do you want to contribute one day to a useful endeavour, share your ideas and skills, or simply take part in a collaborative effort in service of the territory? Join us for a day together. Event open to 30-40 participants with varied profiles. The richness of the event will rest on the diversity of points of view, experiences and skills. When registering, please indicate your profile: Citizen, Business or local expert (sponsor and/or jury), AI expert, Partner/Sponsor, Other. We reserve the right to select registrants according to the expected profiles.

Free event, by reservation. Thank you in advance for your effective presence, because the success of the event rests on your presence and participation. Booking link: https://bit.ly/iahackathon.
